Get the U.S. self sufficient

the U.S. is so dependent on foreign countries that if something happens it cripples the U.S. Like if China does not have chips, we don’t have vehicles, if Russia stops oil the fuel prices go high.

I am an environmentalist, but I do realize that we can’t get off oil overnight. The infrastructure is not there yet.

We should open the pipeline, allow drilling on government land. (Not good land) once we are self-sufficient, we will set a constant cost on oil. That will make fuel prices stable. A chart I have seen from 2019 showed it cost $1.00 per gallon to get the oil out of the ground and refine it. AT $.50 profit $.18 for taxes and $.10 for the gas station and delivery the fuel should be about $2.00 per gallon everything above that is extortion. In 2014 the price per barrel was at $110.00 the price was $3.50. Now the price is $97.00 a barrel and the price is $3.99 There needs to be more control of company profit margins. Diesel is cheaper to refine, there should be no reason why it cost more than $1.00 per gallon more than gasoline.

Oil companies should have a cap as how much Profit they can make on a gallon of crude oil.

10-22 OPEC says that $85 per barrel is too low. So, they are restricting production if we use our own oil, we will not be subjected to their extortion.

The automakers should be able to make all the parts necessary for vehicles. If China does not make chips, we do not have vehicles.

9-22 Biden signed into law a chip bill. There should be no reason why American taxpayers should be building factories and making chips to make companies like the automakers and Fiat richer.

Fiat got sued so many times they changed their name. If you get sued, the lawsuit should follow the company or the person just because you changed the name. Does not mean you should get away with the crimes.

I am for world commerce, but we need to have the capabilities in case one country locks down or goes to war we can still function.

The United States exports as much oil as it imports. That just proves that the United States of America has enough oil to supply our own needs.
