Electric cars are a good idea, but the infrastructure is not there, and it is going to take so much natural resources to make the batteries and the motors. I do not believe the world has enough raw materials to supply the demand needed. There are hydrogen fueled vehicles out there. Which is a much better option. Hybrid is also a good option.

When they do install the infrastructure for electric cars, they should also install infrastructure for hydrogen fueled vehicles.

Comparing an electrical vehicle to a gasoline vehicle. If it takes half an hour to charge up your vehicle using 150 kW. That is like pumping gas into your vehicle will cost you $5 per gallon. Your gas tank will only hold 5 gallons. It will take you 1/2 an hour to pump the 5 gallons. Your vehicle gets 20 miles per gallon. Your range is 200 miles. And the engine that it takes to power up 150 kW. For half an hour we’ll burn almost 8 gallons. That does not sound like it is fixing the environment at all. And then you have the diesel engines that are trying to mine the raw materials. And the factory that runs on diesel engines or natural gas? To make the vehicles.

The ability to make electricity from electricity is not here yet. So therefore, we are going to have to build a lot of power plants that run on fossil fuels.
